Chris Wetzel has been part of Security-Net for more than 20 years, joining the organization in 2001. He brings to Security-Net a unique perspective with experience in a variety of business roles, from security system installer, central station manager and sales before moving into an executive/ownership role.

Wetzel is currently a Principal at CGL Technologies in Pittsburgh, a recently launched and quickly growing branch of CGL Electronic Security, where he has been responsible for the startup and overall business operation. In his role Wetzel has secured several million dollars in projects and built a first in class team. He joined the security industry in the 1980s as a technician, giving him the opportunity to learn the industry from the ground up.

Over the years he has held numerous positions, including that of installer and commercial sales lead, with several companies in the security industry before co-founding Intertech Security. While at Intertech, Wetzel served as the company’s Executive Vice President and sales leader. Subsequently Chris moved from Intertech to focus on building a sustainable business model concentrating on the paradigm shift to managed services in the security industry.

This program consists of regular sales leadership meetings and webinar, enabling Security-Net members to collaborate on standard business practices, national account strategy, sales lead generation and project management.

As part of his career in the security industry, Wetzel has been actively involved in numerous manufacturer lead advisory councils with companies such as Bosch Security, Johnson Controls, Genetec, and Pelco, to name a few. He is an active member of ASIS International.

Wetzel’s entrance into the security industry came at the encouragement of several family members who were employed by a security company. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, golf and biking.

GGL currently employs more than 45 people across multiple offices, with plans for continued geographical growth.
