Barry Komisar

Barry Komisar, the founder of Vision Security Technologies, has been a longtime member of Security-Net.  Joining the organization in 2011, Komisar has shared his passion for business development and continuing education with fellow members.

At Security-Net, Komisar has been a long-time member of the marketing team and has recently been appointed to the executive board. He brings to Security-Net a passion for entrepreneurship and an expertise in access control and video surveillance system design and installation.  

Under Komisar’s leadership, Vision Security Technologies developed its own inhouse training facility, known as Vision University, to provide customized training not only its own technicians but also its clients.  The company has also fostered long-term relationships with numerous notable clients that include major universities – which includes the University of Alabama – sports stadiums, healthcare facilities and critical infrastructure facilities.  

Komisar is the founder and CEO of Vision Security Technologies, based in Birmingham, Ala. After eight years of working for another systems integrator, Komisar started the business with his wife Kim.
